Government of Jharkhand sponsored Yuva Jagaran Vivek-Rath Parikrama, on stride under the auspices of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi to cover all the 24 districts of the State, was formally inaugurated at Khunti, by Mr. Amar Kumar Bauri, Minister, Tourism, Art & Culture, Sports, Youth Affairs on December 21, 2016 in the midst of huge gathering of Government dignitaries, students, Ramakrishna Mission monks and general public.
Mr. Bauri, in his inaugural speech, urged the necessity of imbibing invigorating and man making messages of Swamiji to make the Nation and the State great. Addressing the disciplined gathering, the Minister reminded Swami Vivekananda Clarion call उत्तिष्ठत जाग्रत ! उठो ! जागो ! and asked the students to read Swamiji’s books to prove themselves enlightened citizens of India.
Swami Buddhadevananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission T.B. Sanatorium, Tupudana, Ranchi and Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi also addressed the gathering with their short but inspiring speeches.
More than thousand copies of New Year calendar with Swamiji’s photographs, booklets “Jagaran Mantra”, book on Personality Development by Swami Vivekananda and Laddoo Prasadam were distributed among the gathering and dignitaries. After inaugural function the Vivek-Rath reached local DAV Centenary College where Swami Bhaveshananda, Swami Antarananda and the college Principal addressed the students.
The booklet “Jagaran Mantra”, covering the invigorating messages of Swami Vivekanananda and the New Year calendar with Swamiji message, to be distributed among twenty five thousands youths and others in all the 24 districts of the State have been designed and published by the Ashrama at the behest of the State Govt. in the Tourism, Art & Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
Beautifully decorated Vivek-Rath with magnificent statue of Swamiji on the front top under a canopy, reached Khunti, the district headquarters of Dharati Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birthplace, from Ranchi at 10.30 a.m. Earlier Yuva Jagaran Vivek-Rath proceeded from Vivekananda University campus for 23 day Parikrama after a brief worship function amidst Vedic Chanting.
The Rath is being escorted by two other vehicles carrying about fifteen young enthusiastic Volunteers-cum-Motivators headed by a monk facing the pangs of journey in the chili weather of Jharkhand.
As per the programme the volunteers are arranging video show, नुक्कड़ नाटक on the life and messages of Swamiji and Indian Spiritual traditions and epics.
The Jharkhand Government in the Department of Art & culture and Youth Affairs has gird up its loin to make the approximately one-month Yuva Jagaran Programme a success with the help of the Ashrama and Ashrama has found in it a divine opportunity bestowed on its head to become instrumental in spreading the messages of Swamiji in the whole State which would not have been possible otherwise for the Ashrama.
Till date the Vivek-Rath has covered three districts where about three thousand set of calendar and booklets along with about 1200 other books have been already distributed. The Rath, after covering 21 remaining districts, will return back to the State Capital on January 12, 2017 where the closing function at the Samadhi-sthal of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and foundation stone laying ceremony at the island of main Lake of Ranchi will be held for installation of Swami Vivekananda’s life size statue as slated for the year 2018.
Lecture by eminent scholars & monks at all the Universities headquarters in Jharkhand and speech competition in schools and colleges all over the State have also been planned from January 3 to 10, 2017 to celebrate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti as National Youth Day.
