A 3-day-long annual celebration was celebrated from 18th May to 20th May 2024. During these 3 days a series of programs consisting of public meetings, folk song and Dance, Bhajan Sandhya and Skit etc were organized with great grace and grandeur.
The celebration was inaugurated by Swami Achyuteshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradeshin the gracious presence of Swami Satsangananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, T.B. Sanatorium, Tupudana, Ranchi; Sri V.K. Gaddhyan, President, Managing committee, RKMA, Morabadi
The first day of the celebration was named as Sri Ramakrishna Day in which a public meeting was organized on the topic “Hinduism And Sri Ramakrishna”. The meeting was presided by Swami Achyuteshananda ji Maharaj. Swami Satsangananda ji spoke ornately on the topic. In the evening of same day, a melodious Bhajan Sandhaya was organized in which Swami Divyabratananda, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati, Assam presented enchanting devotional songs.
The second day was observed as Sri Maa Sarada Devi in which a public meeting was organized on the topics “Relevance of the Life and Teachings of Maa Sarada Devi in the Present Society.” The meeting was presided by Swami Achyuteshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Special Guest speakers Sri Sukumar Mukherjee, Convener, Bhavaprachar Parishad (Bihar and Jharkhand); Swami Antarananda, Asst. Secretary of this Ashrama spoke diligently on the topic. The meeting was attended by around 250 participants including the Students of RKMVERI, DIVYAYAN Trainees, Devotees, Volunteers and admirers of the Ashrama. In the evening, a melodious Bhanjan Sandhya was organized in which Sri Ravi Shankar Mishra, Sri Bibhu Shankar Mishra presented lyrical Bhajans. Then students of GAP and SAP presented Drama, Dance and Song.
The third day was observed as Swami Vivekananda Day. The theme of the day was “Swami Vivekananda’s Vision on Regeneration of India.” In the morning session Sri Goplajee Tiwari, Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative, Govt. of Jharkhand was the chief guest. Sri Shailendra Singh, Founder, Chetna Mahavidyalay& Chetna Residential Institute, Govindpur, Dhanbad was the Guest of Honour. During the programme students of RKMVERI spoke on the topic and presented a beautiful skit on a social bad practice etc.
In the afternoon session, a special programme on youth awareness and development was conducted which was presided by Swami Achyuteshananda, ji Maharaj and the guest speakers were Dr.Dipankar Maiti, Former Scientist, ICAR, Hazaribagh;Sri Shailendra Singh, Founder, Chetna Mahavidyalay Chetna Residential Institute, Govindpur, Dhanbad and Prof. Brajesh Kumar, NSS State Co-ordinator. This session was participated by NSS Students of Gossner College, Ranchi Women’s College, Marwari College, Doranda College, and St. Xavier’s College. Around 350 students participated the programme.
On 20th May, 2024, a mesmerizing Folk Song was performed by Lokakala Sanskriti Samuha, Khakshitoli.
